10,000 Year Old Civilisation Discovered in India | Ancient Architects

Archaeologists have unearthed thousands of ancient petroglyphs that could be linked to an unknown Indian civilisation from 10, 000 years ago.

The incredible images, very reminiscent of the Nazca Lines in South America, were found hidden beneath the soil atop hillocks in the Konkan region of Maharashtra.

Experts believe the carvings, known as petroglyphs, were created by a hunter-gatherer community – because many of the images are drawings of animals, but of course at present this is just speculation.

The discovery also suggests the civilisation could have migrated to India from Africa, as many of the animals are not native to the area, but were prevalent in Africa.
