CB Patel is one of the pioneers of the British Asian community. His publications, Gujarat Samachar and Asian Voice, have been the foremost Asian diaspora weekly newspapers in the UK for nearly 50 years. He is much loved in the community and has seen, documented and supported the growth of the community across political, public, community and business life.
