At least a hundred dead after stampede in northern India | DW News

Officials in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh say over 100 people were killed and more were injured after a stampede at a Hindu religious gathering.

Dozens of people were crushed to death after a stampede in the Hathras district. Crowds had gathered to celebrate the Hindu god Shiva when they were reportedly blinded by a huge dust storm on leaving the event venue.
