Shwetabh Gangwar, author of the Rudest book ever, talks about how over decades Bollywood devalued and significantly reduced the respect and esteem out of the language Hindi from the mind of Indians, and elevated English as the language of the educated, upper class people. He narrows it down to two points: the media representation of our language which was inferior, and the lack of any representation which was worth of self esteem and self respect.
