I was asked why a leadership role is better if there’s more money to be made in a sales role. The answer is that it’s not necessarily better, it’s based on the sort of personality you have. I have seen a lot of people go into leadership roles because they thought it would look great on their resume, only to find out there really didn’t have the personality for it. That doesn’t make you a bad person, it just means it’s not what you were meant to do, and that’s ok! A person in leadership should get their satisfaction from helping others, otherwise it’s best not to do it at all.
