The Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation), the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act were passed by the House and received the President’s assent turning them into laws.
However, this has led to a political slugfest amidst a raging pandemic and debilitating economic slowdown.
We will discuss with Mr.Karan Bhasin. Karan Bhasin is a young economist who holds a masters degree from TERI School of Advanced Studies and a bachelors degree in economics from The University of London. He has diverse research interests spanning areas such macroeconomics, monetary economics, institutional economics and political economy. He has worked with multiple think-tanks in the past. A regular columnist, he writes for major digital publishing platforms, leading Indian magazines and newspapers.
