Kamala Harris debuts Tim Walz as vice-presidential pick

Join The Washington Post as Vice President Harris holds her first rally with newly minted running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) in Philadelphia. Walz joins a historic ticket featuring the first Black woman selected as a major party’s presidential nominee.

The announcement caps a tumultuous period of American political history, including President Biden’s decision not to seek reelection. With less than 100 days until Election Day, Harris and Walz kick off a nationwide tour across seven battleground states.
