Antananarivo (Madagascar), July 30 (ANI): Minister of Foreign Affairs of Madagascar Richard Randriamandrato inaugurated the centre for Indian Diaspora in Madagascar titled ‘Indian Dhow’ in capital Antananarivo. Indian Ambassador to Madagascar, Abhay Kumar, the Chairman of Vision Madagascar Zouzar Bouka along with several other high ranking officials registered their presence at the event. The Centre displays exhibits related to the history of various Indian families who came to Madagascar and have made a niche for themselves in the social, commercial and cultural fabric of the country. The video presentations on the various articles and artefacts associated with the Indian diaspora in Madagascar are also displayed. Such events are organised from time to time to promote an understanding of the history, role, achievements and contributions of the Indian diaspora in Madagascar. (JA)
