The Certificate in Leadership & Personality Development Skills (CLP) programme at IUHS Campus was first launched in 2017. The vision of the CLP programme is to energize and influence the youth to become highly practical, team oriented, and extraordinary citizens who are no more attached only to themselves and theoretical knowledge. The CLP programme which is a unique programme of IUHS Campus has been designed with the same intention in mind to enhance innate talents the students seem to have and also to transform students into highly productive leaders who will one day take over the responsibilities of our nation to truly manifest the values and ethics and to make a sustainable future where life of everyone is secured.
This leadership programme creates a platform for the A/L students who sat for the exams to gather many experiences which may become remarkable turning points of their lives. This leadership programme as a whole is a combination of activities which entail personal, team, ethical and conscious leadership interventions such as outward-bound training, yoga sessions, musical sessions, presentations, lectures on various important topics related to employability skills such as team dynamics, time management, communication, career guidance, building personal action plans. This programme will help students discover their true passion and potential. It will be an ultimate guide for anyone who wants to become a true leader with an exceptional personality and the power to influence. The CLP programme is conducted in a Combination of Sinhala and English so as to make it easier for students to understand and comprehend. The duration is 3 months, with classes twice a week. The CLP programme commences every year in September which is after students have sat of the A/Level Examinations.
