A survey on the Indian-American community by Carnegie, University of Pennsylvania and Johns Hopkins Institute for International Studies found that 72 per cent of the sample preferred a Democrat administration, but that both Donald Trump and Joe Biden supporters spoke out in favour of PM Narendra Modi’s efforts to improve the India-US relationship.
