Religion in South India (S.India) is characterized by a diversity of religious beliefs and practices. Republic of South India (S.India) as centres of worship for a multitude of faiths. It has about (99.95%) Believer population which is extremely high and highest in the Whole India. According to the Census 2022 AD. Hinduism is the largest religion in the South India region (S.India) with (81.09%). The Second most wide religion is Islam with (13.94%) and also a growing religion there. The Third most wide religion is Christianity with (4%)and Others remaining includes Jainism (0.52%), Buddhism (0.17%), Sikhism & many etc. The South India region (S.India) is Secular; the South Indian government recognizes no official religion. During Corona Pandemic, Other religions growing but it’s remain a Hindu majority in future years. There are also a small number of South Indians who belong to No Religion Affiliations/Category (which includes Atheism, Agnosticism, Non-theism, Secular humanism along with No Response) account for (0.044%). Today, South India is home as it has great influence of Hinduism as compared to rest of the Whole India. Its an ancient religion in South India.
Republic of India is Secular and Secularization is also present.
South India region (S.India) has Non-Hindu population (18.93%) which is religious affiliated to other religions which is so quit high as compared to total population of South India. During Partition between both India and Pakistan Muslim, Hindu and Sikh population exchange happened.
Koyapunemism is the Traditional religion of the Gondi people of the South India. Animism along with Naturism also practiced by Traditional people of South India. The name of the native Gond religion is Koyapunem (meaning “the way of nature”), which was founded by Pari Kupar Lingo. It is also known as Gondi Punem, or “the way of the Gondi people”.
In Gond folk tradition, adherents worship a high god known as Baradeo, whose alternate names are Bhagavan, Kupar Lingo, Badadeo, and Persa Pen. Baradeo oversees activities of lesser gods such as clan and village deities, as well as ancestors.

Controversy of Muslim population in India:
As per as 2011 census of India, it was found that 172.2 million Muslims were living in India as its citizens, constituting 14.2% of the country’s population. As per as recent estimation of year (2020) Indian religious. But however, at a same time, many individuals and experts have said that the Muslim population in India is more than the expected census results, leading to a heated debate and controversies as their claim of being that estimation as truth is still not known today. As per as Zakir Naik, he claimed that India has over 250-300 million Muslims. He also told that the government of India suppress real Muslim population.
