VP Kamala Harris and the Indian Diaspora in the west

Kartik Krishnaiyer describes why he’s supporting Kamala Harris for president even though in general he has hesitations about voting for most candidates of Indian descent because of the illiberal, anti-western and classist attitudes prevalent in India as well as within large portions of the Indian diaspora in the west.

He also discusses India’s alleged attempts to assassinate private citizens on foreign soil and discusses how Harris has a different (and in his view more positive) worldview from many of the other people involved in public life of Indian descent in the west. And how she has pushed back on some of those elements within the Democratic Party.
