Prime Minister Narendra Modi accorded guard of honour at the Dhaka Airport as Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina welcomed him with a bouquet of flowers. PM Modi is on a 2 day visit to neighbouring Bangladesh where he will take part in the Mujib Borsho and National Day celebrations. PM Modi will also call on Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid during the visit and hold restricted delegation-level talks with his counterpart Sheikh Hasina.
