Embracing each other’s tradition when you’re from two different cultures, in our case parts of the world is very important for any relationship to thrive.
I’m from a very small Tribal community of India known as the Rongmei Nagas who are spread across different states of Northeast India namely Nagaland, Manipur and Assam majorly.
Our traditional clothes are usually hand crafted and is a craft that’s passed down through generations. The women wear a wraparound called ‘Mekhela’ in Nagamese and ‘Pheisoi’ in Rongmei dialect.
India is a diverse country with people who speak different languages, wear different clothes, look different and follow different religions but we are one beautiful country filled with amazing history and people.
