Bangladesh protesters demand PM Hasina’s resignation as death toll mounts

Protests in Bangladesh have taken a violent turn as demonstrators call for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s resignation. At least 91 people were killed and hundreds injured in clashes on Sunday (Aug 4), as police fired tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse thousands of protesters. Michael Kugelman from the South Asia Institute at the Wilson Center tells CNA’s Asia First why the next few days are critical for protesters and the government.
