This is the second part of the interview. Roquaiya Hasina Neely told about her martyred intellectual father S M A Rashidul Hasan. He was a teacher in the dept. of English at Dhaka University. He wrote students’ movements and struggle of people of this wing of the then Pakistan in his diaries. He wrote every day. He was a very disciplined person, he loved Bengali people and its culture. He was fond of Tagore songs.It was his dream that his daughter would one day be a Tagore singer.. He was her inspiration. She is an accomplished presenter of the songs of Rabindranath. Neely is well known for presenting Tagore songs in its pure form.
