“Rabindranath Tagore was very warmly welcomed to China in 1924 by many but was also given a very hostile reception by some of China’s leading intellectuals. A 100 years on, China continues to think of India as a weak colonised power,” The Hindu’s China correspondent Ananth Krishnan said at a webinar by Institute of Chinese Studies.
